Callum Stevenson: Guitar, Keys and Bass Teacher
Callum is a musician and multi-instrumentalist based in Edinburgh, Scotland. His primary instrument is electric guitar but is also qualified to teach bass guitar and keyboard/piano.
Callum is better known for his keyboard work in kings of Skindie band, The Begbies, having played festivals, venues such as The Isle of Bute, Party At The Palace, Gig In The Goil, Xponorth, Belladrum, including sold out shows at king Tuts. He has also supported artists such as Milburn and The Ordinary Boys.
Having studied at Edinburgh college, previously known as Stevenson College, Callum has a degree in Popular music with Grade 8 music theory and Grade 8 rock and pop guitar. With over 10 years of teaching experience in a variety of different settings from leading creative songwriting sessions for Individuals with mental health issues, to group work with young people and adults through charitable organisations such as Dads Rock Academy and
a vast amount of one to one tuition.
Callum’s teaching method is all about creating a safe and positive environment for the student. He will be catering for your needs and goals using tailor made plans to help you get from A to B as efficiently as possible whilst maintaining a relaxed and fun approach to learning. Lesson material can consist of learning you’re favourite songs, taking on the grades, improvisation or diving deep into applied music theory on your instrument.
